Every year Bermuda ushers in the start of Spring with the arrival of the migrating Longtail or White-Tailed Tropic Bird. The islands shorelines are filled with these white graceful beauties with their high pitched clicking bird song keeping beach goers company.
The Longtail comes to Bermuda every March to breed, and because the land mass of my island home is limited, nesting sites directly compete with the native and endangered Cahow.
In response to this, Conservationists have build additional nesting sites around the islands lime stone cliffs which has allowed both sea birds to flourish.
I hope you enjoy this Spring collection of one of Bermudas most loved visitors.
